I've been obsessing over Jpop and Kpop style for so long. I really miss following such trends but it's so tough to keep up. Maybe I'm just lazy? No. I love taking care of myself. I just need to find a different job at a store where all the things I want are accessible and there's a discount. I guess that's the fun of working at a store where the designers are reachable? Yeah... That's the only thing I miss from my few previous soul sucking shit jobs.

I've come to find that sacrificing myself for a trend or a job is just pointless. When I go home, there's no job there. When I'm miserable, the ones that love me can feel it. I can't let a job do that to me. I definitely can't let a job do that to the ones I love. No amount of money can fix breaking hearts and making people who truly care about me watch me suffer.

Moving along, I feel the need to just take random pics over the next few days. I can't wait to have myself together enough to post more outfits, make up looks, and hairstyles. I've been such a wreck lately it's hard to really do anything with myself. I look in the mirror and feel that it's hopeless. Plus my hair is at an awkward length. I guess maybe tomorrow?

LEAVE MY HAIR ALONE YOU BIG BULLY!!! Just joking, I was lazy earlier today and kinda sad I had to toss out my heat rollers. They were ruined by circumstances I really don't want to explain. ;~; Anyways, I decided that the best remedy was a cute outfit. It kinda worked. ^_^;

My make up was simple. I've become addicted to just lining my top lid and using silver eyeliner on my bottom lid.

It looks great with my circle lenses right? Overall I indeed like this more than lining my whole eyes. I really enjoy how lively my eyes look!

Overall, they are fantastic and way better than the ones I lost due to circumstances I don't want to explain. The clips are better, they heat up faster, and THE CLIPS ARE PINK!!!! ^_^

One man with a camera (android app) and food stuff!

Today was pleasant. The weather was nice, I got a lot done, and I got to sorta take a nap! Lovely right? Well, I had the time to play around with my phone camera and I found an app to satiate my need for photo effects until Instagram comes out for android. I may not even bother with instagram though.

Amazing right? With the multiple cameras and effects, this app makes for quite the variety of photos. ^_^ I think I may use this app a lot more from now on. I really enjoy the many different looks. The only downside is that I can't use my other camera on my phone. The bright side is that I can touch anywhere on the screen of my phone and it will snap the photo. I give this app 4 stars out of 5

Moving on, I really enjoyed what Jacob made for dinner!

Outsider observation on Gyaru 2: The drama in general...

I feel like I added to some drama with what I had to say in my last post. I really don't care. The gaijin gyaru (gg) community would've started some kind of drama anyways. Most girls are pretty typical in that manner. What do I mean about that? Well, it's plain and simple, gg gals take competition to a whole new level. Here's a wake up call, slamming a girl in a totally different country IS NOT going to make you look hotter. Actually it just makes you look like a childish brat.

I feel like I'm about to start scolding a classroom of children. With the way that most gg act, I may as well be. Just because you don't agree with what one gal is doing with her look doesn't mean you have to be a total cunt about it. And YES I used cunt. There really is no other way to say it. Bitch is an understatement and mean is just plain wrong for more of the gg community.

Moving along, heaven forbid a new girl comes along wanting advice. What do gg members do? They pick the new girl's looks apart and then laugh at when she gets upset. How encouraging... I think overall, females don't get along. Adding in the whole beauty thing doesn't help. Watching the gg community has been a lot like watching pageant girls fight over a crown. The sad thing is, what crown is there for you ladies to fight over? And some of the gyaruo guys are just as guilty of being catty cunts as well.

Here's a summary of what I see on tumblr, blogspot, livejournal, and even several forums down to a tee:

New girl: Hi! I'm new to gyaru, what do you think of my first attempt at a look?
gg member 1: You're too fat to be gyaru. Your make up is all wrong too.
gg member 2: Where are your lower lashes and circle lenses? You look stupid.
gg member 3: Just some scene kid. Next!
gg member 4: You didn't even try. Get out of here!

Yes. That's pretty much it, except make it about 5 to 20 girls (and the occasional guy) doing that to one poor girl. And if she's really pretty, toss in a g_s entry and you've got the gg community in a nutshell.

I'm going to make this short because I would love to get into what I think about gyaru make up and hair. And also what gyaru gals and guys really are fantastic in my eyes. I'm sick of this negativity but it's apparently a huge part of the gg community.

I have one more thing to say before I move along. I haven't had much fun watching a bunch of catty, bratty little girls fight over an image when they all for the most part have it all wrong. Why do I think most gg gals are all wrong? Because gyaru is about FUN and really, maybe only 5% of you get that.

Outsider observation on Gyaru 1: Racism and Gyaru_Secrets

So after observing "gyaru" from outside of Japan, I have come to the conclusion that most white gals are very racist. Maybe it's just that I've seen too much of "gyaru_secrets" or maybe I'm observing the wrong people. I am not sure really but the image sticks with me.

When a black girl goes blonde or any other color outside of "black girl hair colors" she is seen to many of the gaijins as "ghetto" and is told to get rid of her colorful locks. I am not even a gal and I've dealt with this issue. When I was blonde, I was told to "get my Nicki Minaj wannabe ghetto self away from gal make up." How pleasant right?

I've come to see that it's probably the hardest for black gals to get their start because the other girls of other races seem to speed in and put her down in any way they can. I have seen some beautiful black gals thrown down because of jealous, racist gals.

Here's where my rant will now start. First and most important, being gal is about having fun and standing out. I can see that as clear as day. No gal has to look like a fucking magazine model in order to follow a gyaru trend. From what I gather, you're supposed to make it your own, not be some robotic clone. Well, that's more important to the trend anyways...

Moving on, I really think that any white gal that thinks only Asians and white girls can pull off gyaru needs to shut up and take a seat. You're a prick. Plain and simple... I have seen some magnificent gals that aren't either. And by the way, this is pointed at g_s, Chaudie and Lhouraii are far more gyaru than any of you stuck up bitches will ever be. It doesn't even matter what race they are. It shouldn't matter what race anyone is. I have silently sat back in my spare time and watched out snippy and snobby you people are. You're not the gal police and to be honest, most of you seem to have the taste of dead trailer trash, so... Yeah.

I think that the constant slamming of people and putting out all that garbage about people is childish and uncalled for. It's a fashion trend, not some sort of cult. The fact that black girls are exclude from pretty much ever trend outside of looking like a rap video hooker as it is, I really think people need a fucking wake up call.

What the hell is next gaijins? Clearly marking that in order to be gal you must be white or Asian? WHAT THE FUCK? As much as I love the trend, I really doubt I will be paying any more attention to the gaijins outside of the ones that are actually good and get that gyaru is a trend, not some sort of religion.

To wrap up my first outsider observation, yes I think most gaijins are racist. Why? Because you put yourselves in that category. As someone looking in, you ladies and gentlemen have done nothing more than prove how racist you are as a majority. Maybe I've seen it wrong, but really, when it comes to this kind of issue, I tend to be oblivious. Long story short, if I can see it, how many others interested in the trend can see it too?

I also think that g_s is the worst thing for gaijins to have as a well known thing. It makes the whole community look terrible overall. I personally am now even happier just doing my own thing and taking what I like from trends now more than ever because g_s has reminded me how childish girls and young women are now days. You're all in your teens to early twenties and instead of going out and having fun, you're sitting at home on a computer trying to dictate what's gyaru and what's not. Get over yourselves.

Hello! So it's been FOREVER since my last post. I guess I'll go ahead and start from where I left off now.

So my birthday when fantastically! I got to spend it with my boyfriend and my best friends! ^_^ It was amazing. We went to Fujiyama's and did the hibachi table (although I fussed about the price... A lot! I mean, I didn't want them to spend THAT much on me but we're all so glad we did it!) It was so much fun, even though a drink got spilled on me, the chef was AWESOME! He was so nice as well! ^___^ Here are the only two pics I got of that night. I was kind tipsy by the time we left the restaurant sooo... <.<'; Sue me! :P

It was a great night over all and I had a blast! ^_^ Now what else to move on to? Hmm... Oh I know! So after many days of debating, I decided to go back to my natural hair color (black). It was a great choice but I couldn't do it immediately ha ha. So I ended up going to a job interview with pink hair! O_O; Talk about awkward. It was weird because the store I went to wasn't really my style and they could tell. I was friendly and chatty but overall, not a great fit for either of us ha ha. Here's a lesson though: NEVER GO TO A JOB INTERVIEW WITH PINK HAIR!

Anyways. Valentine's day! So Jacob got me this really cute wolf plushie! IT'S SO FLUFFY!!!! And squishy soft! I love it! It came with a cute little necklace! ^_^

CUTE RIGHT??? It was such a lovely Valentine's day. I got the score back to my psychology exam (high B! One point away from an A!!!) I only missed one point off of the speech I gave, and Jacob made me a heart shaped vegan, gluten free calzone! IT WAS AWESOME! ^_^

Cute right! And it was TASTY! ^_^

I'm not sure what else to put in here... I could post pics of my new hair color and cut but why? It's still wet... Maybe I'll make a vlog post instead? Maybe? O_O; I dunno...

... Not quite into the day! ^_^ I can't wait to celebrate today, tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday! :D Because yeah... That means I can wear more than one cute outfit! Omfg 23! And while yesterday my throat was being hateful, the weather was kicking my butt, and needless say all the classes and such... Whatever, the day ended quite lovely. ^_^ Now to make this tiny entry before the big one! I'm stoked. Purely stoked! ^_____^

Gyaru and me...

I was recently asked why I refuse to really tag anything I do gyaru. I love Ageha Gyaru right? I tend to aim towards that style when I attempt the make up (attempt... I feel I've yet to succeed) right? So what is my big deal in avoiding the gyaru label? I have one word: DRAMA.

I love gyaru fashion and the many varieties there are, but I am not going to prance around like I'm an expert when I don't know left from right most days. I will admit that I don't feel like I'm good enough to label anything I do gyaru as of yet. I am an aspiring gal, but that's not really gyaru at all. It's just someone who sees the trends and tries to try them for herself...

I want to clarify that I have no qualms with the gaijin gyaru community. I think many of the girls I've met have been wonderful, but the wonderful doesn't necessarily outweigh the not so wonderful. I am looking for feedback and explanations as to what I've done wrong with a look, not pure hatred because I tried and didn't succeed. I don't see that help I need so I'd rather not bother anyone in the community. I am well aware that not all gaijin are hateful, but enough are that I'd rather not bother anyone outside of the people I talk to regularly.

So what's the point of this blog? It's my way of sharing my journey. How I'm going from clueless to somewhat knowlegeable. Am I an expert? No, but I don't have to be an expert to give my honest opinion about a product or a hairstyle. I don't have to be an expert to like a look or a certain trend either. I know things of course but I'm learning more so than teaching. I made this blog because I enjoy talking about beauty and fashion.

I am openly admitting that I don't know near enough to make a tutorial (although I would love to). I also am openly admitting that whereas I do have tons of advice, I will only give it if asked for it.

That's about all I have to say today... Just hoping this clears up some confusion. ^_^;

New curling irons and longer extensions

So I got new hair extensions in the mail yesterday after ordering them two weeks ago. I got so impatient I forgot to take pics of them before I dyed them... But they're BEAUTIFUL! I was leary at first because I ended up going with an ebay store. They were recommended though, so I figured, "Why not?" and went with it.

I paid $40 for a 100 gram weft of bleach blonde human hair extensions. 22 inches long and wonderful! They dyed without any problems and I can heat style them with no issues, so I know for a fact they're legit. Anyways...

I really like my new hair color. I also really like the curling iron I got yesterday. So cute! It's a 1.5 inch barrel Remmington. It does wonders curling my hair as well.

I guess I can go ahead and review it since I went ahead and used it today. The pros are that it heats up fast, looks stylish (which is important to most girly girls like myself ha ha), and it has a 60 minute auto shut off (because I'm forgetful).

The cons are that the turn dial had a tendency to be turned while I was curling my hair. That's my only qualm with this curling iron. I have just recently gotten into using curling irons though, so maybe I need more practice so I don't bump the dial or something... I will admit, I mainly bought this for the size of the barrel and because it's black and purple. ^_^;

My extensions look pretty fantastic. I played around with photo effects today, becuase my hair looked rather nice. I really am enjoying this hair color a lot. For those who want to know, my hair starts out hot pink at the very top and then gradually gets darker. My tips are a strawberry red, not a dark pink. My hair is only partially pink.

Photo dumping aside, I am a happy camper with my new hair color! Well, I have stuff to do, so more later? Yes! I think my next blog might be "What to wear on a date" or "Accessorizing in a hurry"

New Year, New Hair Color, Less Slacking (I promise!)

With starting classes and such, I've been a busy bee. I am currently waiting for my new hair extensions I ordered... They've been misrouted with angers me. D:{ I ordered them TEN DAYS AGO! But I guess I need to be patient... I can't wait to get them and dye them so I can have long pretty, pinky-red hair! :)

With the new year and all the things I want to try I hope to make blog posts about everything I try! I love the new elements to my style that onee and amura gyaru have added to my style and I hope to experiment more! I want to make it clear before I carry on though that I AM NOT GYARU AND NOR DO I CLAIM ANY PART OF THE GYARU COMMUNITY. You can keep your drama to yourself, I'm just someone who likes the styles and certain elements of the different styles.

Well, I am rather beat so I'm going to post a pic of my new hair color and go off to something else. I can't wait to write my review on my new extensions. ^_^

Today's hair and make up...

I have no idea what to wear today... So I'll blog about my hair and make up today! Before I start, I want to go ahead and state that I am wearing Geo Bambi Almond. The brands I used are: ELF, Lancome, MAC, and my eyelashes are two pairs, both from Forever21. No lower lashes... I'm waiting on those...

Here's a good pic of my make up for today. I went with a light silver grey for my eyes and then lined them with black pencil liner. I then used white pencil liner for my water ling and mascara on my bottom lashes. I then added two pairs of false lashes and mascara to finish the job. I was subtle with blush and I can't seem to get contouring right, although I keep hearing that since I have a heart shaped face, I'm not making much of a difference because my face shape and cheek bones are idea... Whatever that means. :P I threw on some pink log gloss and called it a day. Kinda lazy, kinda not so ok! ^_^;

I curled my hair with my new curling rod. It turned out amazing! I used heated rollers to flip my bangs out and I was good to go. I want to point out that I use Silk Elements Liquid Styling Gel. It can be found at any Sally's Beauty Supply. I love how it makes my curls hold without making them concrete. It's a god send really... (I got my first bottle for free when I was renewing my beauty card. I almost picked something else, but thank goodness I didn't!)

I think I might add a video once I decide what to wear today... I'm not sure. o_O

Well, Now to look deep into my closet lol. Bye ^_^

Hurried update...

Hello. It's been a while since my last post. I work retail and so the holiday season is really wearing me thin. I've been working so much and it's tired me out! I did manage to get a few new things as a reward to myself for working so hard. I still have to finish my Christmas shopping so I do feel a little guilty but I'll get it done. I promise! ^_^;

Moving on to what I bought, because that's pretty important. I bought a new curling rod. I have been dying to get the perfect curl and now finally I can. It works amazing and I only paid $14 for it! ^_^

I keep blocking my face out because I look super tired without my make up on. Probably from my awful sleep schedule... Digressing O_O. Anyways. I really like this curling wand. I tried it out for a quick moment and then decided to post a video review on the item later. When I'm not so tired. I figured since I have some time off this week (granted I don't get called into work) that I could use to review some things I've bought. Here's to hoping!

I also bought new hair extensions. They were the color I wanted but instead of 22 inch like I still want, they were 18. I'm ok with that for now. I'm just going to wait and order the set I want from headkandy. They can also probably help me find my best option for matching my golden honey hair.

I bought them from Sally's. I'm satisfied but not entirely happy. I wish there were better places to buy beauty things from around here. Another reason to move to a bigger city? I really think so...

Today's adventure: Braids galore! ^_^

So I wanted to braid my hair today, I just didn't know how to... So I tried a few different ways. Just to experiment.

At first I tried a braided side ponytail, but no... Not it at all. I know it was just for work, but it just didn't seem like my style. So I tried something else...

Well. that's a little better but no! It's missing something... It seems too plain for me. What if I... CURLERS! I should curl my hair as well!

And this is how I wore my hair today. A little experimenting goes a long ways I suppose! :) I wonder if I should post a tutorial... It's such a simple braid.

I can't wait to get my dream hair extensions so I can really experiment! :) Someday...

Lazy Sunday: Playing with sticky things O_O;

I decided to play around with my false eyelashes after all. I have come to the conclusion that I will be purchasing lower lashes online after I get paid this Friday. How annoying are the ones I cut? I think they're too long and look weird... I don't feel like I look nearly as good as other gals. O_O; AND MESSY!!! SO EFFING MESSY!!!

Ugh look at that! They're just too long. :( I tried to trim them but I was afraid of ruining them... And they were a massive pain to put on... Maybe I should try again with a different pair?

They look ok? I am not even sure. I will admit it was fun to play in my lashes but at the same time I don't like making my own lower lashes. And sadly the women in my area are mostly hilly billy sluts who can barely understand the function of concealer... I always end up shopping online. -_-;

Maybe they look ok... Ok, maybe not. I hate them. I'm going to maybe try again with a different pair, but I'm definitely buying some lower lashes online.

This was my fun adventure for the day. Now to make sure all the glue is off, and then I have a casual date! :) Until next time!

Lazy Sunday...

I just spent the past three hours taking care of my little sisters hair. o_o I was feeling so much like doing my make up and experimenting with the lower lashes I made yesterday, but instead... Laziness. No. I'm rather tired. :(

I threw my hair up in a messy bun and tied a scarf around it. It looks sorta cute, but I don't think it's very gal at all. Today is my disaster day...

At least my shirt is cute. $2 at DEB's! Such a cute shirt and comfy...

I really should get up and do something with myself. I haven't been very motivated to, but I'll be ultra sad if a cute guy wants to hang out and I look a complete wreck. o_o;
